Course Content (Airlines & Travel Management - Foundation)                                                                           * Environment- The Travel & Tourism Industry and the Travel Professional,  Geography in Travel Planning, Travel Formalities. 
*  Products- Land Transport,  Water Transport,  Land Transport,  Tour Packages,  Hotels,  Air Transport Essentials. 
* Support Services- Customer Service,  Technology in the Travel Industry. 
* Air Fares and Ticketing
*  GDS Electronic Booking Tools (CD-ROM*)

Positions: Airlines Customer Care Executive, Ticket Counter Executive, Airport Ground Staff, Tour Manager, VISA Consultant, etc.

Scope: Candidate will take promotions after departmental exam. and salary will increase with work experience.

Course Content (GDS Fare & Ticketing)
* Study one of these three GDS systems: Amadeus, Galileo or Sabre  
* Introduction to air fares, analyzing itineraries and retrieving fares from a GDS
* Introduction to the mileage system
* Practice pricing one way and circle trips
* Limitations on indirect travel, side trips and surface sectors
* Backhauls, circle trips, journeys in different classes of service and alternative fare break points
* Lowest combinations, round-the-world journeys, sales indicators and minimum checks
* Currency conversion, taxes and practice ticketing.

Course Content (Air Cargo Management)
*  Industry regulations; ICAO -IATA - FIATA
* The air cargo agency; The IATA cargo agent -The consolidator
*  World geography; IATA 3-letter codes -time differences -calculation of transportation times
* Use of Guides; the OAG Air Cargo Guide
* Aircraft; bulk loading limitations -Unit Load
* Devices (ULDs) Handling facilities; aircraft and cargo terminal facilities
* Air cargo acceptance
* Cargo booking procedures
* Cargo automation
* Air cargo rates and charges; application of TACT (The Air Cargo Tariff)
* The Air Waybill; completion - labelling and marking

Positions: Airlines Customer Care Executive, Ticket Counter Executive, Airport Ground Staff, etc.

Scope: Salary will increase with work experience.

Positions: Air Cargo Manager, Airport Cargo Supervisor, Cargo Operations etc.

Scope: Candidate will take promotions after departmental exam. and salary will increase with work experience.

All examinations are conducted by IATA, Montreal and examinations are organised by Air India. Results and Certificates/Diplomas are issued by IATA, Montreal.
